This event, which brings together athletes with disabilities and able-bodied athletes, is a celebration of running with a very special message. Cash prizes (details below), free T-shirts for kids, medals for all finishers (four-mile race and the kids' races) and surprises make this annual event a local favorite. Kids’ races traditionally include many participants with disabilities as well.
Event hashtag: #GoAchilles—use it in your public tweets and Instagrams to be automatically entered into the NYRR Social Hashtag Challenge to win prizes!
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org/hope. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!
