This race honors Ted Corbitt (1919-2007), the first president of New York Road Runners, the first African American to compete in the Olympic marathon, and an ultramarathon pioneer who ran more than 200,000 miles in his lifetime!

Start on East Drive south of 102nd Street and head north to the 102nd Street Transverse. Turn left, cross the Transverse, then turn left again onto West Drive. Run south to the 72nd Street Transverse; turn left and cross the Transverse to East Drive. Turn left and head north, past the start. Repeat the first part of the course (again crossing the 102nd Street Transverse and running down West Drive), but this time, run past the 72nd Street Transverse, around the bottom of the park, and past the 72nd Street Transverse again. Continue to the 102nd Street Transverse and make a final left turn to the finish on the Transverse.

Numbers (which contain your scoring tag) and T-shirts may be picked up at NYRR (9 East 89th Street) on:
• Thursday, December 11, 1:00–7:00 p.m.
• Friday, December 12, 1:00–7:00 p.m.
Shirt sizing is subject to availability. Please pick up on Thursday or Friday to avoid crowds. On race day, pickup/registration will be at Race-Day Central in Central Park on the 102nd Street entrance ramp from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. If you pick up on race day, please be sure to allow yourself enough time to get from Race-Day Central to the start. Bibs will not be available after the start of the event.
If you're unable to pick up your race materials, a friend or family member can pick up for you; the person will need to know your full name and date of birth. This policy is only for our weekly races, not for our marquee events.
Age-group awards will be available on site at the awards table located at the information tent after the race. Runners can check the awards sheet at the table and collect their award. Awards not collected on site will be available at NYRR on the Monday following the race.
