The NYRR NYC 60K is a race with a long history for New York-area ultrarunners and an illustrious list of former champions. Nothing builds up an appetite for Thanksgiving turkey like running nine loops around Central Park. After 37.2 miles, you’ll even be ready to tackle those leftovers! Please make sure that you're properly trained for this challenging distance.
We'll provide a clear bag and label (with your bib number) to runners who want to access their own food and beverages during the event. You'll hand in this bag at pickup, and it will be placed on our nutrition station table at 90th Street (see course map). This bag is for food and drinks only. If you leave unattended bags or items at another park location, they may be confiscated by NYPD and race security staff.
Use MTA Trip Planner to plan your trip.
All race information is subject to change.
Start at Engineers' Gate in Central Park and head noth on West drive for a 1.2-mile out-and-back. Then complete nine 4-mile clockwise “inner” loops of the park. For each loop:
Mile 1: Run south on West Drive, pass the Metropolitan Museum of Art on your left, descend Cat Hill, and turn right onto the 72nd Street Transverse.
Mile 2: Cross the 72nd Street Transverse, then turn right/north on West Drive. After a brief flat section, climb an 800-meter hill.
Mile 3: Continue north on West Drive through rolling hills, then turn right/east onto the 102nd Street Transverse.
Mile 4: Run across the Transverse, then turn right/south onto East Drive. After a gentle uphill of about 800 meters, level out onto the flat section and return to the start.
