NYC Walk to Salute the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act

Important update: The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce and New York Road Runners have jointly agreed to combine the Percy Sutton Harlem 5K Run and the NYC Walk to Salute the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act in order to celebrate this special 50th anniversary with collective unity. The NYC Walk to Salute the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act is part of HARLEM WEEK, one of the northeast area's largest cultural celebrations. For more information about HARLEM WEEK events and the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, visit

The start time of the Walk has changed to 8:30 a.m., the same time as the 5K Run. Registered walkers will line up behind the runners on St. Nicholas Avenue south of West 134th Street. Please be in place for the Walk no later than 8:15 a.m.
