A Holiday Gift Wrapped As A Race
This festive family favorite is more than just a road race, it's also a celebration and a fundraiser for NYRR's youth programs. Not only does your entry fee snag you jingle bells for your sneakers, a pair of custom knee-high tech socks to match, and post-race hot chocolate, the proceeds from this race fund youth running programs in schools all over the city!
Santa Comes Early With a Pre-Race Raffle
We're not waiting until December to get the gift-giving season underway. All race registrants will be automatically entered into our amazing holiday raffle. Starting in October, we'll be giving out prizes every Friday. The earlier you register, the more chances you'll have to win! Prizes and raffle rules will be posted soon.
Become a Santa's Elf and Give the Gift of Running
You can make a child’s holiday truly special by donating $25 toward a pair of new sneakers for a Young Runner or Mighty Miler. Donors will also get a special elf's hat to wear on December 5 (in addition to your jingle bells) if you donate on or before race day; come to the lobby of NYRR headquarters (9 East 89th Street) during race pickup hours, and we'll make you an elf! The Reindeer Run is Back!
If you missed the inaugural stampede in 2013, be sure to get your little one registered in the Reindeer Run (nearly three-quarters of a mile) this year (register here). The fun kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with 10 rolling starts (of up to 50 kids each). Instead of T-shirts, all kids will receive antler headbands and jingle bells to run in, as they gallop on an out-and-back course that starts and finishes at the Jingle Bell Jog finish on Center Drive. If you have a child between the ages of 7 and 12, register him or her today. No kids? Then come early to cheer on all the youngsters, including NYRR Mighty Milers from Brooklyn schools, as they cross the finish line!
Proceeds from the Jingle Bell Jog benefit NYRR's Youth Programs, which provide running programs and events for more than 200,000 children in underserved schools.
Live unofficial results are available during the Jingle Bell Jog at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!

Mile 1: Start on Center Drive and head east for about 500 yards until you reach the Prospect Park loop drive, where you’ll turn left.You’ll climb the only serious hill—about a half-mile long—which will crest just before the mile mark, near Grand Army Plaza.
Mile 2: The next mile will be generally flat as you curve left, parallel to Prospect Park West; another gradual left turn will bring you to the 2-mile mark
Mile 3: A long downhill will flatten out at the southern corner of the park. Curve left again, with Prospect Park Lake on your left, and continue on gently rolling terrain, passing the 3-mile mark alongside Parkside Avenue.
Mile 4: Return to the point at which you started the loop, turning left to retrace your first 500 yards to the finish.

If you've already made a donation to our Sneaker Drive, or you plan to do so in person, you can get your elf hat at NYRR during race pickup hours. Just meet us in the lobby when you come to get your race materials, and tell us you've earned your elf status!
Sock size is subject to availability. Please pick up on Thursday or Friday to avoid crowds. On race day, pickup will be at the registration tent at the Nethermead in the center of Prospect Park near the race start/finish from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. If you plan to check in on race day, please be sure to allow yourself enough time to get to the start. Bibs will not be available after the start of the event.
Please note that race-day bib pickup for the Reindeer Run will be held from 7:45-8:30 a.m at the start location on the east side of the park at the intersection of Well House Drive and East Drive.
Age-group awards will be available on site at the awards table located at the information tent after the race. Runners can check the awards sheet at the table and collect their award. Awards not collected on site will be available at NYRR on the Monday following the race.
