This year marks the 33rd running of this festive collaboration between NYRR and Front Runners New York, a competitive and social club for LGBT runners, multisport athletes, and their allies. Join more than 5,000 runners and show your pride at this five-mile run in Central park. Last year, this race—a marathon qualifier—sold out, so be sure to register early. Whether you’re a top racer or a novice looking for a healthy run and some good camaraderie, the Pride Run delivers the goods.
This year, a portion of the proceeds benefits the Anti-Violence Project, an organization which empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and HIV-affected communities and allies to end all forms of violence through organizing and education, and supports survivors through counseling and advocacy.
Need some motivation to train this spring? Join Front Runners New York for a run. FRNY welcome runners of all levels and has a special Beginner’s Clinic for new runners. For more information, visit the FRNY website or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
