A crowd of 5,596 runners took to Central Park this morning for the 22nd annual NYRR Gridiron Classic and Longest Football Throw Competition. With Super Bowl XLVII set for later this evening, the football-themed run prompted many participants to don their team’s colors, with jerseys of local favorites like Eli Manning and Darrelle Revis prominent in the pack.
