The NYRR 5-Borough Series: Bronx 10-Mile is the fourth race in the NYRR 5-Borough Series and offers runners a tour of the city's northernmost borough. While the Bronx is best known as the home of hip-hop and the New York Yankees, local runners in today's race were quick to point out why their home turf should not be overlooked.
In the borough known as the Boogie Down, 6,555 runners were moving and grooving on Sunday morning at the NYRR 5-Borough Series: Bronx 10-Mile. Now in it second year, the race takes runners on a picturesque, mostly-flat tour up the Grand Concourse, around Bedford Park, along the Mosholu Parkway, and back again.
