The energy and endorphin levels were through the roof for the fifth annual National Running Day, which was celebrated all over New York City and the country on Wednesday, June 5.
The Dashing Whippets Running Team got in the National Running Day spirit with their first- ever Bridge Quiz Relay on June 5. If you don’t already love the concept, how about this: The race started and ended at ACE Bar on East Fifth Street and consisted of teams of three answering running-related trivia questions and sprinting back and forth across the Williamsburg Bridge. As runners, we’re already passionate about this stuff, but the prospect of earning bragging rights and post-race beverages sweetened the deal.
