Runners of all ages gathered in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park for the MLB All-Star 5K & Fun Run Benefiting Sandy Relief to race 3.1 miles or participate in the 1.5-mile fun run, both in support of relief and recovery efforts following Superstorm Sandy. Along the way they met baseball legends and mascots, took a chance on raffle prizes, and enjoyed fitness and camaraderie at the start of a summer weekend.
For some people at the MLB All-Star 5K & Fun Run, running 5K or 1.5 miles just wasn’t enough. These folks—hundreds of them—made their way to the Nike+ FuelBand Challenge at today’s post-race festival.
