True to its name and tradition, the Coogan’s Salsa, Blues and Shamrocks 5K, which was run on Sunday, March 3, provided plenty of music, food, and drinks to more than 5,800 runners in Manhattan’s Washington Heights.. The scenic course backdropped a lively mix of runners, fans, and entertainers, many decked out in green in honor of the race sponsor, Coogan’s Irish Pub & Restaurant. As the year’s first NYRR team-points race, the friendly 5K was also highly competitive.
