The NYRR Five Borough Series: Staten Island Half-Marathon gave many marathoners-in-training the opportunity to test themselves before the ING New York City Marathon. In less than four weeks, more than 47,000 runners will line up in this very borough, and that day they’ll put in twice the effort. This morning they tested their speed at half the distance.
