A Heart-Pounding Downtown Run

Mengsti Tabor Nemsi of the West Side Runners led thousands of speed demons on a high-speed tour of lower Manhattan in Thursday evening’s American Heart Association Wall Street Run. The three-mile course featured many tight turns on narrow streets, but they didn’t seem to slow him down; he broke the tape in a blazing 14:16. Loretta Kilmer, of team Mizuno, led the ladies with a time of 17:06.
