Kick off the New Year at the Midnight Run! Join the fun and celebrate with dancing (starting at 10:00 p.m.), a costume parade and contest (starting at 11:00 p.m.), and a 15-minute fireworks show as seen on foot. With a countdown to midnight beginning at 11:59 p.m., the four-mile unscored run will begin on the stroke of midnight, as will a spectacular fireworks display to light up the night and the start of 2015.
On race day, a beautiful 20-block stretch of 5th Avenue opens to runners of all ages and abilities who want to run their best mile in NYC. Special heats include a youth mile, the George Sheehan Memorial Mile for runners age 60 and over, the NYRR Road Mile Championships, and Olympic-caliber professional men's and women's races.
The TCS New York City Marathon is one of the world’s most iconic races. During the 26.2-mile journey through the five boroughs of New York City, some 48,000 runners will experience the sights and sounds of the city, cheered on by more than two million spectators, entertained by hundreds of bands, and be inspired every step of the way. Be a part of it on November 2 as the entire city transforms into the world’s biggest stadium.
Getting Into the 2015 New York City Marathon
General entry to the 2015 TCS New York City Marathon is closed.
Due to the transit circumstances that impacted runners getting to our start today on time, we kept the start line open for an additional hour. This leads to us needing more time to process race results data. Your results are being worked on, and we ask that you check back with us at the end of day Monday, June 22. Sorry for the inconvenience.
