It was a beautiful morning to be on the Coney Island boardwalk, but for the 14,278 official finishers of Saturday’s NYRR 5-Borough Series: Brooklyn Half-Marathon it took a lot of hard work to get there.

Peace Gets A Running Start

Last Saturday in Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste, 6,208 runners lined up for a 5K fun run. Most of them were schoolchildren, many of whom had trained using New York Road Runners’ A Running Start videos.

National Running Day Website Goes Live

New York Road Runners today has re-launched a website, www.runningday.org, devoted to National Running Day on June 6.

The fourth-annual National Running Day, held each year on the first Wednesday in June, is a day for runners at all levels to declare—and demonstrate—their passion for running. Jason Hartmann and Nick Arciniaga will lead the professional field for Saturday’s NYRR 5-Borough Series: Brooklyn Half-Marathon, organized by New York Road Runners.

Meucci Triumphs in UAE Healthy Kidney 10K

It was a big day for each of the top three finishers Saturday in the UAE Healthy Kidney 10K.
