Among the hundreds of runners circling the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in Central Park before work this morning was Jonas Gahr Stør, the Norwegian Minister of Health and Care. Kimetto Sets Tokyo Record; $50K Donated to Sandy Relief

Dennis Kimetto helped make the Tokyo Marathon’s debut in the World Marathon Majors one for the history books, winning the race in 2:06:50 to smash the course record by 33 seconds on a cold and blustery day.

WMM Toughens Doping Penalties

The six World Marathon Majors races have toughened their penalties on athletes caught doping, and the message is this: You will pay, literally.

Tokyo Ready for World Marathon Majors Debut

Kicking off the 2013 season of the World Marathon Majors on Sunday will be the Tokyo Marathon, the first event to be added to the race series since it was launched in 2006.
