U.S. Armed Service Veterans/Active Duty Military
The U.S. Armed Services membership rate is $40 annually and available to U.S. active duty, reserves, and veterans.
Follow these steps to apply:
- Complete a free runner profile on NYRR.org
- Print out and complete the Printable Application (pdf)
- Email the application to our Runner Services Team or bring it to the RUNCENTER in-person.
Collegiate
Available to individuals enrolled in a degree program. To join via this membership type, please upload a copy of your current student ID to your NYRR profile. If we do not receive your official documentation within 15 days of your membership registration, your membership will be transferred to an annual membership ($60) and your card will be charged an additional $20. Documentation will be required at each time of renewal.
NYRR Youth Program Leads and Assistants
Available to official NYRR Youth Program Leads and Assistants. To join via this membership type, please upload a screenshot of your STRIDES profile page, which contains your STRIDES ID number, to your NYRR profile. If we do not receive your official documentation within 15 days of your membership registration, your membership will be transferred to an annual membership ($60) and your card will be charged an additional $20. Documentation will be required at each time of renewal.

TCS New York City Marathon Guaranteed Entry
9+1 Program
The 9+1 program allows NYRR members who meet eligibility requirements to earn guaranteed entry to the TCS New York City Marathon! Runners completing their 9+1 program toward the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon must have their nine races and one volunteer opportunity completed by December 31, 2023.
United Airlines NYC Half Guaranteed Entry
4 Out of 6 Program
The 4 Out of 6 program allows New York Road Runners members who meet the eligibility requirements to gain guaranteed entry to the United Airlines NYC Half.
RBC Brooklyn Half Guaranteed Entry
Virtual 6 Program
Runners that register for and complete six NYRR virtual races at the NYRR Virtual 6 program rate between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023 will be eligible to receive one non-complimentary guaranteed entry to the 2024 RBC Brooklyn Half.
