In 2011, charity runners helped raise more than $34 million for over 210 charities through NYRR events. In 2012, they raised more than $30 million despite our marathon’s cancellation after Hurricane Sandy. But our great running community can go even farther: Running for charity has such a strong connection to the Virgin London Marathon that about 80 percent of the entrants are fundraising as they run, compared to about 21 percent of ING New York City Marathon entrants in 2011. Combine your passion for running with your desire to make a difference through one of our 300+ charities.
With NYRR’s fundraising platform, CrowdRise, it’s never been easier to raise money for your favorite cause. It’ll take less than a minute to have your own fundraising page to share with friends and family so they can sponsor your run. Feel good about your efforts on the road and off!
When charity spots become available, we will update this page.
