The ING New York City Marathon 2011 created an unprecedented charitable impact, raising $34 million for 190 nonprofit causes—much of which went to New York City-based charities. NYRR’s own charity team, Team for Kids, raised more than $4 million to fund community programs and initiatives that transform the health and daily lives of children who would otherwise have little or no access to regular physical activity.
