Part-Time Coordinator, ITP Program

NYRR is seeking an experienced Coordinator to join the account management team in our Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Department.  There is a minimum 2-year commitment for this job opportunity.

This position will report to the Senior Marketing Manager, primarily to provide administrative and account management support for NYRR’s International Travel Partners (ITP) Program. 

In addition, the Coordinator will also assist with managing internal and external deadlines, as well as supporting the department’s work on corporate sponsorship accounts and various special department projects throughout the year.

  • Help manage NYRR’s relationship with 100+ ITPs around the world who bring race participants to a variety of NYRR races, such as the TCS New York City Marathon, NYC Half, Brooklyn Half, Oakley NY Mini 10K, etc.
  • Assist team to ensure successful execution of all projects and partner contracts
  • Assist ITPs with any race registration issues for their runners
  • Communicate project updates to team in a timely manner
  • Write and distribute meeting notes for various internal and external meetings
  • Provide support on weekly NYRR events, including but not limited to:
    • Creating timelines and managing deadlines, update event scripts and run of shows, track sponsor deliverables, photo lists
    •  Manage approval process for all assigned race creative elements
  • Coordinate other assigned department-wide projects such as but not limited to:
    • Communications needs (web, social media, e-mails)
    • Creative elements (signage, T-shirts, printed materials)
  • Maintain records for post-Marathon and post weekly event recaps (ex. capture web shots, samples, etc.)
  • Assist with research, check out partner and competitor web pages, track industry trends and provide updates
  • Assist with NYRR’s financial reconciliation process and tracking payments for all partner invoices


  • 4-year degree
  • 1-2 years of work experience (internship or professional, preferably in sports account  management)
  • Self-starter who enjoys working in an active and challenging environment
  • Flexible, adaptive in fluid work environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects/deadlines efficiently 
  • Willing and excited to learn and ask questions to understand new concepts and cultures
  • Strong organizational and writing skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed
  • Lots of energy and enthusiasm for NYRR’s mission
  • Foreign language skills a plus
