NYRR Central Park Spring Classic 10K

Please note: This event takes place on Saturday, March 26—not on March 27, as we’d mistakenly indicated. We sincerely apologize for the confusion.

If you signed up to run on March 27 and you can’t make it on March 26, please email My NYRR to request a refund. Thanks for your understanding. We hope to see you on race day.

NYRR Fred Lebow Manhattan Half

This race honors the late NYRR president and New York City Marathon co-founder, Fred Lebow (1932-1994). The course is two-plus loops of Central Park, which can be a challenge in January! Join the mid-winter fun and camaraderie—and perhaps kick off your training for a spring marathon. You'll have lots of good-spirited company, and there'll be classical music (Fred's favorite) at the start as well as inspiring Fred quotes along the course!

NYRR Joe Kleinerman 10K

Make good on your New Year’s running resolution by taking part in the Joe Kleinerman 10K! Kleinerman, a founding member of NYRR, the longtime coach of the Millrose Athletic Association, and a beloved NYRR employee until his death in 2003 at age 91, was a true competitor. Take on the challenge of this chilly 10K through beautiful Central Park. The race pays tribute to Kleinerman and also benefits a scholarship fund in his name for scholastic runners; $1 of your registration fee goes directly to the fund, and additional donations can be made during registration.

Memorial Sloan Kettering's Fred's Team Presents Grete's Great Gallop (13.1M)

Please note that this race is a half-marathon.

Join Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Fred’s Team for Grete’s Great Gallop (named for legendary marathoner Grete Waitz, a close friend of New York City Marathon co-founder Fred Lebow) on October 4 in Central Park! Grete and Fred ran the 1992 New York City Marathon while he was fighting brain cancer. Today, Fred’s Team (named after Lebow) has raised more than $61 million to bring us all one step closer to a world without cancer.
